In Other People’s Secrets we meet a young couple, Ginny and Adam Trustlove, who are holidaying at a boathouse in Italy at the side of a lake. They are both grieving the loss of their young son, who died only days after being born. Ginny, in particular, is finding it difficult to cope and the stresses on their relationship are extreme. But then the Sale family arrive at the main villa and this high-flying and privileged family provide Ginny and Adam a welcome distraction to their own problems. Marty and Bea are a glamorous couple that appear to have everything they could ever wish for in life, and their children seem assured and as equally confident. But appearances can be deceiving, and Ginny and Adam are quickly embroiled in the Sale families secrets, especially when the handsome, but mysterious, Zach appears on the scene. Lousie Candlish has written six previous novels and she appears to be getting better with each one. Other People’s Secrets is a great read – and the perfect escape for a lazy Sunday afternoon curled up on the couch. Win this book!
